About Options 4 Today
Options 4 Today is product of working as the sole contributor of Lenny Dykstra’s Nails Investments website from early 2010 through 2017. Prior to being the sole contributor of the Nails site (in the hopes that the founder would eventually come back), I worked as Lenny’s assistant and all around numbers person, providing the back-up and scorecard for all his picks since 2007. I also wrote many of the columns, edited many of those I didn’t write and made many of the picks featured before 2010. I’ve been contributing to the success of the published strategy since being hired in 2006.
The DITM Calls (& Puts) strategy featured here at Options 4 Today is the brainchild of Lenny Dykstra. It is Lenny’s strategy that is still used today. However, Lenny no longer has or wants any affiliation with the site, as he is no longer interested in investing or stock research, so a new name and web home has been created. I did keep the number 4 in the new name in honor of our origins and the man who created the strategy. The 4 is for Lenny.
ABOUT NAILS – A Brief History of Number 4
Nicknamed ‘Nails’ for his tough style of play, Lenny Dykstra was a 3-time National League All-Star during his twelve year MLB career. Dykstra made his big league debut in 1985, playing for the New York Mets and later played with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Career highlights include being a part of the 1986 Mets World Championship, and in 1993 with the Philadelphia Phillies, winning the National League Championship.
Dykstra has served as president for several successful privately held businesses in Southern California including his infamous car washes, which were sold in 2006 & 2007. In 2008 – he founded The Players Club; as it was his wish to give back to the sport that gave him early successes in life by teaching athletes how to invest and protect their incomes.
Much of his investment strategy here at O4T comes from Lenny’s unstoppable desire to become an independent trader and share that knowledge with others.
His all or nothing attitude in sports and in life, cost him everything after the purchase of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky’s Sherwood Country Club estate caused his insolvency. His financial fall even came with a side order of nearly three years of jail time as both federal and state prosecutors came gunning for him. He was arrested in April 2010 and completed his debt to society in June 2013.
You can read all about his baseball, financial and legal misadventures in his bestselling memoir, House of Nails which is available now.
Lenny currently makes celebrity appearances in the New York and Philadelphia areas and is working towards his next big thing. He lives in Pennsylvania.
